My wife and I cannot always agree on wine. What we can always agree on is a good Pinot Noir specifically a Sonoma Pinot Noir. Walt is owned and operated by Kathryn Hall Napa Valley. Prior to Kathryn Hall the label was known as Roessler. I did not drink Roessler prior but the Walt label holds true to the same high standards as that of Hall Napa Valley.
The Walt 2010 La Brisa Sonoma County is made in the more refined California Pinot Noir Style. The fruit, spice and earth notes are quite prevalent in the mid palate. The front palate shows chewy-firm tannin. The finish is mid length with cherry cola notes.
Recommendation - For those who prefer a refined style Pinot.
